Richmond Upon Thames House Price Update – November 2022

It’s time to report on the local Richmond Upon Thames house price update from Rightmove and Zoopla for the period of October 2022.

Rightmove have announced that properties in Richmond had an overall average price of £1,021,110 over the course of the last year.

Interestingly, the majority of sales in Richmond since November 2021 were flats, selling for an average price of £564,005.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £1,122,489.
Semi-detached properties fetching £1,562,670.

Overall, across the mark, sold prices in Richmond were up by 1% on the previous year and 14% up on the 2019 peak of £893,864 which we started reporting on back in January this year following the up’s and downs throughout the Pandemic period.

When compared to the UK average, Richmond is performing very well. The average asking price for a UK home increased again, and setting yet another new record at £371,158. This represents a small increase on September, and slightly lower than the five-year average we usually see in October.

We have had a wonderful experience with Parkgate and would highly recommend them. Chris was brilliant on the valuation - what we liked is he was totally honest about our chances of selling and gave us the positives and negatives about our property (such as facing a council estate!). Other agents tend to just gush over the good bits which is great, but actually not that helpful.

The selling process was great - we were given good feedback from the viewings and got the price we wanted within about 8 weeks.
