Putney property price update – January 2022
Putney is in the London Borough of Wandsworth and benefits from its riverside location and is just a few Tube stops from the hustle and bustle of Kensington and the West End. Putney property prices are on the rise again
According to Zoopla the average price paid for a property in Putney was £866,438.
Overall, the average price for property in Putney stood at £785,959 in January 2022. This is a rise of 0.85% in the last three months (since October 2021) which has helped to reduce the slight fall of 2.05% when compared with 12 months ago. However, the current values are still around 7% higher than 2019 according to Rightmove.
In terms of property types, flats in Putney made up the majority of sales and sold for an average of £525,662 during 2021. Terraced houses performed strongly and sold for an average of £980,000 according to Rightmove’s latest figures. Semi-detached homes also performed well with an average local value of £1,587,156.
The outlook for Putney property prices in 2022 looks bright. After the difficulties of the pandemic, central London prices are set to rise more in line with UK growth. Locations like Putney are set to see growth of around 4% in the next year and around 13.7% by 2026 according to data published in the Standard.
